The interior design continues the collaboration with Susan Walsh and the rock’n’roll theme. We chose a double-column grid and a sans serif for text. Designer Rich Hendel, one of the judges for the award-winners, commented that the 2-column layout with a sans-serif typeface was unconventional, and yet it “worked!” The black circles with reversed-out chapter numbers on the chapter title pages referenced spinning vinyl records—the position of the chapter number rotated clockwise as the chapters progressed. Whenever possible, photos ran as full bleeds.
